Persistence- February 22, 2018

Hello All,

Have you ever started a project that seemed to go smoothly and quickly, then it hits a snag? Well folks, I wrote my first book called, “Now What? I Got a Tax Notice from the IRS. Help!” It is now available on Amazon, will be on Kindle in March and as an audiobook in June.

What does this have to do with persistence? Well, I wrote the book over a Saturday and Sunday in August. You heard that right, August and the beginning of August to boot.

So what took so long? Well, we wanted to do it right. We had it proofed and edited (a couple of times). We had it formatted (3 times), then we had to choose the cover, and that seemed to take forever. Then it was time to select the layout, acknowledgments, and dedications. It was finally sent to Create Space for their review. Then back to be formatted yet again… you get the drift.

The final printed product was delivered today, and it looks great if I do say so myself and I do!

Again, what does this have to do with persistence? In any business or your personal life, you need to be persistent if you want to succeed. Don’t let a few setbacks slow you down or stop you from achieving success in whatever you are working towards. I almost pulled the plug on the book back in November and then again in December. Well, I am so glad I didn’t. So keep on plugging, look adversity in the face and go nah! I’m not quitting.

In fact, my people (as in wife and good friend Loren) are already planning my next book and are just waiting until tax season is over to begin pestering me. Persistence is one thing, being dumb is another!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

C’ ya,

Jeffrey “Mr. Persistent” Schneider
